Geojit IFSC Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”, “GIFSC”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your personal information when you use our website, mobile applications, onboarding platforms, or interact with us at IFSC.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following information when you use our services:

  • Personal & Contact Information: name, email, phone, address.
  • KYC / Regulatory Information: ID documents, residency, PEP status, sanctions screening details.
  • Financial & Transaction Data: investment preferences, transaction history, account details.
  • Device & Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device information, cookies.
  • Communications: emails, queries, feedback, call records (where permitted).

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and operate our investment and distribution services.
  • Complete onboarding, KYC/AML checks, and regulatory compliance.

3. How We Share Information

  • Regulated service providers supporting technology, KYC, hosting, analytics, and operations.
  • Business partners such as AMCs/fund houses, custodians, and intermediaries to enable transactions.
  • Global Access Providers (GAPs): When you opt to open an account with a Global Access Provider (GAP) such as ViewTrade IFSC, India INX GA, or Interactive Brokers, we share your referral information and basic contact details with the respective GAP to facilitate account opening. All detailed KYC, financial, and transactional data is collected DIRECTLY by the GAP. GIFSC does not store or process such data on its systems.
  • Regulators and authorities, including IFSCA, exchanges, and law enforcement, where required by law.
  • Parties involved in corporate transactions (mergers, acquisitions), subject to confidentiality.

4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use essential and analytics cookies to:

  • Enable site functionality.

5. Data Transfers

Your data may be processed outside your home country. When you use services of a Global Access Provider (GAP), your personal and financial data will be transferred to and stored in the jurisdiction where the GAP operates (e.g., United States, Singapore, or other jurisdictions). Such transfers are subject to the laws and data protection frameworks of the concerned foreign jurisdiction(s), which may differ from Indian data protection standards. Where required, we use lawful safeguards such as contractual protections and regulated transfer mechanisms. GIFSC is not responsible for data processing activities of GAPs once data is shared with them.

6. Data Protection & Retention

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal data. We retain data only as long as necessary for our services, regulatory obligations, and legitimate business purposes. Data shared with GAPs is subject to the retention policies of the respective GAP.

7. Your Rights

You may request:

  • Access to your personal data.
  • Correction or update.
  • Deletion (where not restricted by law).
  • Restriction or objection to processing.
  • Withdrawal of consent for marketing.
  • Data portability (where applicable).

8. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not intended for individuals below the age of majority. We do not knowingly collect such data.

9. Cyber Security Risks

Given the cross-border nature of Global Access services, you acknowledge that:

  • Data transmitted to foreign jurisdictions may be subject to cyber-attacks, unauthorized access, or data breaches in those jurisdictions.
  • Foreign data protection and privacy laws may provide different levels of protection compared to India.
  • In the event of a cyber-attack on a GAP system, the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of your personal information (including name, email, contact details, financial data) may be compromised.
  • GIFSC is not responsible for cyber security incidents occurring on GAP platforms or systems.
